Ducting Accessories

Pacific Air carries a wide range of accessories. These can be purchased instead of a kit to fully customise an installation or alternately, they can be used with a dryer venting kit or a rangehood vent kit if additional components are required. Accessories are generally compatible with other brands of kits.

Worm Clamps

Steel worm clamps are used to attach either aluminium foil flexible duct or semi rigid duct together using a duct connector - or alternately to the appliance being vented or the vent or pipe at the outer end of the duct. They are available in 100mm, 125mm and 150mm sizes.

Adapters and Reducers

Pacific Air carries a range of adapters and reducers. Rangehood top adapters are constructed from thick galvanised steel, these are for rangehoods that do not have a neck to attach the duct to. There is a 125mm and a 150mm top adapter. These both include an adhesive ring, to stick the adapter onto the top of the rangehood.  These adapters are both compatible with either aluminium semi rigid duct or aluminium foil flexible duct. We also carry a 125 to 150mm adapter - also called a reducer. There are also alternative adapters for the rear of a clothes dryer, in 100mm diameter.

Roof Flashing

There are two types of roof flashing in the range - one is for a steel roof and the other for a tiled roof. These create a water proof seal in your roof where you have the pipe extruding from the roof to expel the air from your rangehood. Steel roof flashing is made of UV resistant EPDM rubber. Tiled roof flashing is made from both EPDM rubber and aluminium sheeting. These are included in the steel roof rangehood kits and tiled roof rangehood kits.

Galvanised Pipe

Galvanised steel pipe that connect to duct at one end and the aluminium cowl vent at the other can be purchased separately. These are generally 600mm long. They are attached to the roof with the bracing strap.

Ceiling and Wall Ring

The ceiling/wall ring is a great innovation. This is placed over the hole in the plaster (in the wall or roof) and prevents dirt, dust and drafts from entering the gap between plaster and duct.
